Levels of Play

Levels are categorized by age at the start of the season as of Dec 31st. 

Boys are welcome to play at any regional age level.

For the 2025-26 season

FUN1 (Learn to Skate)

• 6 yrs & under - Born 2020 and later 

FUN2 (U8)

• 8 yrs & under -  Born 2018 & 2019 

FUN3 (U10)

• 10 yrs & under -  Born 2016 & 2017

U12

• 12 yrs & under -  Born 2014 & 2015 

U14

• 14 yrs & under -  Born 2012 & 2013

U16

• 16 yrs & under -  Born 2010 & 2011 

U19 

• 19 yrs & under - Born 2007 & 2008 & 2009 

18+ Open

• 18 years & over

FUN3 (U10) has a level of play of B & C (Regional).

U12 has a level of play of A, B & C (Regional)  

U14-U19 has a level of play of B & C (Regional) and A/AA (Provincial/Competitive)

Tournaments are held throughout the season in different Association cities.  Regional teams decide which tournaments to attend.  Provincial teams submit requests for their tournaments and Ringette Ontario(RO) assigns teams to tournaments.  The Regional and Provincial seasons end with the Regional/Provincial Championships in a Association city determined by RO.

Provincial Champions in the U16AA and U19AA divisions go on to the Canadian National Ringette Championships as Team Ontario in a province determined by Ringette Canada and U14AA , U16A and U19A Provincial Champions represent Ontario at the Eastern Championships in a province determined by Ringette Canada.
