Hello Wildfire Families!
You are getting this email because you have registered for the 2020-2021 season! THANK YOU! You are helping to shape what the upcoming season will look like. You are also entered into the draw for a free registration!

Do you know someone who wants to register but hasn't yet? We are still waiting for a few people who played last year but haven't put in their registration to play this year! Can you help? Get in touch with your teammates and make sure that they are on the list.
Ringette Ontario has given associations the go ahead to work with other centres within their same health unit. This means we get to work with our neighbours in Kitchener and Cambridge to create Waterloo Region Player bubbles/cohorts.
As we continue to build the season and we create these player cohorts, if they haven't registered, they may miss out.  This is their bubble opportunity!
True Sport released this guide on safe return to sport, we encourage to read:
We'll check in with you next week with more updates!

Happy Monday Wildfire!
The Executive and Season Planning Committee are bringing you some news, updates and items to note:
Return to Ringette - We still have some things to work out, but we will be bringing you a FUN and EXCITING, modified ringette season. We are working with community partners such as the City of Waterloo for our ice times and their requirements for entry, exit, change room use - we need to establish all of these things to make sure we bring everyone back safely. Our planned return date is mid September, but we will keep you posted with specifics in the coming weeks.
Free Registration - Remember to register by August 31st to be entered to win free registration for the 2020 season! You can register here. Already registered? No problem! Your entry for a free registration has been recorded.
Private Ice Rental - City of Waterloo arenas have opened, and have allowed for private bookings. Some of you may have gotten back on the ice already, getting the rust off your skates with some friends. We have some important information on private ice rentals shared with us from Ringette Ontario. Please read and review:
Ringette Ontario does have some concern with private ice bookings.  Associations have been provided with the following direction:
  • Private ice bookings must not be booked using Association emails, signature panels or intimated as a "team" event (i.e. a coach using their team email, etc.)
  • Organizers must not identify themselves as a member of an Association and/or Ringette Ontario to either the people that they are organizing the ice for OR the ice facility
  • It must be expressly stressed that this is not a sanctioned ringette event and as such will not be covered by RO insurance so that everyone is fully aware of the risks they are taking
  • Association jerseys, Ringette Ontario gear and/or identifying equipment should not be worn by officials, coaches and/or players during any unsanctioned event.

Ringette Ontario - RO has established the Return to Ringette guidelines which have been shared to all Ontario Associations and their membership. You can view the 5 stage Return to Ringette guidelines here
Have a great week, and check back here for updates!
